Libertarian Party of Georgia - Annual Convention

This coming Saturday, May 19th, is the annual state convention of the Libertarian Party of Georgia.  (Http://lpgeorgia.com).

I have thrown my hat into the ring for Chairman of the State Party.  Here's the summary statement I submitted last week to the Treasurer:

This is to notify you that I am a candidate for Chairman of the Libertarian Party of Georgia.

I have been a member of the LPGA since 1997. My past experience includes serving as the Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary of the Cobb County Libertarian party. Currently, I am serving again as Vice Chair of the Cobb LP. I have been a delegate from Cobb County to every LPGA convention since becoming a member, and a delegate to the National Convention in 2004. I have also served as Vice Chair of the LPGA and twice hadthe honor to be the Party's nominee for Governor.

Professionally, I make my living as an IT consultant and as a writer.

As Chairman, I believe that I can serve the Party by being a consistent and outspoken advocate for the cause of liberty. We need to reach out to as many civic and other organizations as possible with our message, and I firmly believe that my skill and experience in conveying that message is the most powerful thing I can offer. I am convinced that the mechanics of the Party are in good hands with our Vice Chairman, Jack Aiken (now serving as interim Chairman) and our Executive Director. David Chastain. We do not need another "reorganization" nor shift of "vision" so much as we need a "light house" to cast the glow as far and wide as possible. I do not intend to make us over but to make us seen.
