Welcome to my new blog.  This is my first effort at blogging, so be patient.  I'm sure it will start out badly and get steadily worse over time.

A couple of very brief notes about this blog and what it's about:

1)  I'm one of those nutcase "Libertarians".  I have been for many years and will be for pretty much the rest of my life.  I'll be posting my own screeds, rants, observations and know-nothing comments about things that I think pertain to the cause of Liberty and Libertarianism.  But I'm not "everyone's" Libertarian (whatever that might mean), so if you don't like me - fine.  Then see item 2.

2)  I believe in open but CIVIL discussion.  If you can't make your point without namecalling or profanity, then your posts AREN'T WELCOME here.  If you think that's "censorship" <gasp>, do two things:  get a dictionary; get your own blog.

3)  In keeping with item 2, this will be a moderated blog at the start, until I get a feel for the thing.  I won't block things because of viewpoint or message, but I won't post items with swearing or name-calling.  How do I define "swearing or namecalling."  Like Justice Stewart - "I know it when I see it."

4)  I'll be posting whenever I feel like it.  Maybe not daily, maybe not even weekly.  Or maybe several times a day.  I have no idea - as I said this is my first blog.  HOWEVER, I will TRY to moderate the blog on a regular basis.  Again, it may not be daily - so if you post something and it doesn't appear right away, that doesn't mean I blocked the post - it more likely means I just haven't checked it yet.
